Café Corner in Santacruz

Whenever I plan to go out, more than the place I first zero down on the locations. Which are either; Bandra, Andheri, or Lower Parel. This time I plan to explore some unexplored territory. I started thinking where then through a Google search.

I found this newly opened café, called Café Corner in Santacruz. It happened to be the only Café in Santacruz East and so I decided to give it a go.

Café Corner is easy to locate hardly, 5 minutes from Santacruz station. When you enter, it has a section for books and games, one can come along and enjoy the company of books.  Ahead on the left, it has a beautiful hand-painted wall with nice messages. Further ahead is an open kitchen that is decorated using some nice Turkish lanterns- Beautiful and Unique in their way.

We got comfortable on a 4 sitter table and started chatting and playing UNO. We started our evening with coolers

Mojito – Authentic, has a strong minty taste the kind a Mojito lover prefers.

UNO and Card Games

Pina Colada –More like a Milkshake, was sweet, milky and thick

Turkish Ancient tea –

From the time I started watching the Turkish serial Fatmagul, I wanted to try the Turkish tea and here I got the chance, a must-have to experience something nice and different

Country Lemonade –

Exactly the kind of drink I like.

All their coolers do complete justice to your palette. Now comes the food

The Paneer Tikka wrap at Café Corner in Santacruz:

Tandoor roasted cotton cheese with veggies like tomatoes, onion, and capsicum with the perfect blend of sauces, makes it melt in your mouth, there are many places where they serve this dish but nothing like the one served at Café Corner.

Sandwiches and Fries

Next, we ordered, Chicken Club Sandwich and Exotic Veg Sandwich:

Both were quite satisfying for the appetite and taste, they came along with some freshly made french-fries served in a mini stand holder.

From Pastas, we ordered Pesto Chicken Pasta:

It was prepared in a way I have hardly seen anywhere. Contrary to the thick sauce pasta, this was dry, cooked in pesto sauce with perfectly cooked chicken

Finally, we called the night by ordering 2 pizza’s, one veg and the other non-veg. We asked them for half-and-half i.e. we got to enjoy 4 different Pizzas while ordering only two.
