The Sanskrit word Tantra is related to the concept of weaving and expansion- it derives from ‘tan’, meaning to expand, spin out, and weave, the place lets you do the same, it lets you expand your taste buds, spin out of the monotonous life and lets you weave into the flavors and taste. Tantra Vegetarian Restaurant in Girgaum, is a fine dining restaurant is located on the Hughes Road, right opposite Café New York, at about 1.2 KMS away both from Charni Road and Grant road station.

All about Tantra Vegetarian Restaurant in Girgaum

The newly open Tantra is an old British Colonial-theme Diner. Which is a two-floor fine-dining, with wooden furnishing having moss green upholstery, very comfortable? They also have a fully stocked bar, which has almost all your needs considered.

We started with, Anaar Mojito:

A different twist to your normal Mojito, the perfect flavors of pomegranate makes the drink quite refreshing.

Tulsi Narangi:

Orange juice is a spike with the proper quantity of Lemongrass, basil, and lime; it’s quite invigorating.

Pav Bhaji Shorba:

The traditional Pav Bhaji is served with a Bruschetta top with a lasooni chutney. Quite flavourful and delicious for sure, highly recommended.

Tangra Paneer Tikka:

Fresh chunks of cottage cheese done in Kolkata style, its perfect balance of Indian spices and flavors.

For the main course we called for, Zafrani Paneer, Dal Tadka, and assorted bread basket:

Paneer was a cook in almond gravy with chunks of almond. The perfect tadka of red chili, garlic, makes the dur daal quite flavorsome. It’s pair with the Indian bread basket having Roti, Naan, Paratha, and Kulcha.

Moong Dal Halwa and Rabdi

How can we forget something sweet something delicious, so we had Moong Dal Halwa and Rabdi, fresh, delicious, and quite delectable, topped with a generous amount of chopped dry fruits.

Tantra Special Kulfi:

They serve Kulfi with an ample amount of dry fruits, its appetizing and toothsome, for sure order.
