This is an era of being ALIVE, we all keep broadcasting live stories, watch live matches, see award functions that are happening Live, and so on. Still, there are only a handful of options when it comes to experiencing live music while enjoying the culinary spell. Long and Short, located inside The Intercontinental, has started the Long and Short Live. Musical Culinary Journey as Live performances every Wednesday (Jazz nights) Friday (Retro night) and Saturday (playlist) from 10 PM – 1 PM, with a different artist every week.

Experience Musical Culinary Journey
Long and short have two sections; it has chic décor, beige color upholstery which is dazzling and comforting, and an outside seating having the view of the famous queens necklace.
We started our night by listening to some retro numbers along with drinks like Penema, sweet and refreshing having a perfect blend of Apple juice, raspberry, and cucumber.
Homemade Ginger Ales, healthy and tasty for sure, having balanced flavors of ginger, mint, and soda.
From the waffles section, we tried Banoffee;
This sweet waffle is topped with sliced banana, butter toffee sauce, chocolate flakes, nuts coated with caramel.
Crumb Fried Chicken:
This savory waffle has fried chicken, topped with honey mustard, and arugula leaves. I preferred this over the sweet waffle.
Atlantic Smoked Salmon:
The salad has Pumpernickel bread in the center, Slices of Smoked Salmon, and rocket leaves. Highly recommended, if you like Salmon
Wasabi Rock Prawns:
Prawns are coated in Tempura batter, garnished with Wasabi Mayonnaise, black and white sesame seeds.
Crackling Chicken:
Juicy cylindrical chunks of chicken are tossed in masala Schezwan glaze, garnished with crisp spinach and sesame seeds, it’s delectable for sure.
Seared Fillet of Basa:
Basa is tossed in garlic and butter, layers of potato and Parmesan molded as a cake with assorted veggies on the side. The flavors were a little unbalanced, can be avoided.
Chocolate Fondant:
Praline ice cream, chocolate cake, the chocolate inside the cake, doesn’t ooze out with the bite, but overall was decent.

The service is quite slow, so go when you have ample time, as things come at a slow pace. The live performances surely elevated my whole dining experience; do call to know the genre and artist, to choose your day of the visit.
Be a part of this musical-culinary journey.
