Shawarma and More at Fort

Get rid of your weekday blues when you’re at Carters Blue. The place is always buzzing whether it’s a weekday or a weekend. The place enters into a narrow opening with tables placed opposite to each other, leading to a separate room on the left, with 4-5 tables. The room next to it is the Sheesha area, my personal favourite. I visited Carters Blue which has Shawarma and more at Fort located in Kala Ghoda about 1.9 km away from the Churchgate station.

The place has nice quotes, depicting the life in Bombay on the walls, with quite comfortable seatings. Carters Blue, the hub for Lebanese, Mughlai and Chinese cuisine has a lot to offer, we started with Watermelon Sunset: Fresh watermelon juice served in a long drink glass, quite fresh and refreshing.

Mutton Galouti Kebab:

The Galouti was a little overcooked from the bottom, otherwise, this would have been really nice, as it was perfect on flavours.

In mains, we had Mandi Rice:

Generous chunks of tandoori Chicken are topped on flavorful rice, though it was a little dry for my taste.

After dinner, I quickly moved to the Sheesha area, which was buzzing even on a weekday, after waiting for 15 minutes we finally got a table. I called for a Paan, Kiwi Salsa, The Sheesha was smooth, with someone checking the coal at regular intervals. The Sheesha zone does not serve food, drinks or any eatable, still, it was my favourite section, being an ardent Sheesha lover.
