Home Remedies for Removing Dark Circles

1. Cold Milk

Containing lactic acid in ample quantities, milk helps minimize fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area. It is also a quick solution to lessen puffy bags around the eyes and reduce dullness.

How to use:

  • Soak cotton balls in a bowl of cold milk.
  • Place them in your under-eye area for 15-20 minutes.
  • Rinse the under-eye area with water and pat dry.
  • Repeat once every day for up to two weeks.
  • You can substitute with plant-based milk like almond milk.

2. Herbal Tea Bags

Green tea helps refresh the eye area by reducing the appearance of blood capillaries, thus making your under-eyes look lighter!

How to use:

  • After using your green tea bags, refrigerate them.
  • Keep the chilled tea bags over your eyes for 15-20 minutes.
  • Repeat once daily till you notice dark circles vanishing.
  • Try chamomile tea for a quick lightening of the dark eye area.

3. Grated Potatoes

You will be pleased to know that potato juice is known to contain natural bleaching properties that can lighten your dark circles.

How to use:

  • Just grate raw potatoes and squeeze the juice out of it.
  • Soak cotton balls into the juice and let them sit over your eye area for 10-15 minutes.
  • Rinse the eye area with cold water and pat dry.
  • Repeat once or twice every day for a couple of weeks.

4. Aloe Vera

This is perhaps the most well-known home remedy in every list, and it helps with dark circles too. Aloe Vera hydrates the under-eye skin, thereby reducing pigmentation and healing from within.

How to use:

  • Take fresh Aloe Vera gel and massage under eye area.
  • Leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then wipe with a moist cloth.
  • Repeat twice daily – in the morning and before bed.
  • Try getting an Aloe Vera plant and use fresh gel.

5. Tomato Juice

Tomatoes are loaded with phytochemicals that reduce skin damage and redness. They can also help lighten skin mildly and help in reducing dullness around the eyes.

How to use:

  • Mix 1 teaspoon each of tomato and lemon juice.
  • Apply under the eye and leave for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse with cold water and pat dry.
  • Repeat twice daily for a few weeks.

Armed with these natural remedies, as well as lifestyle changes, you will be able to combat your panda eyes. If you don’t see improvement immediately, don’t get discouraged. Remember that every new skincare routine can take weeks or even months to show visible results – it all depends on your skin! Start on this journey right away and keep going. You will get your desired results soon enough!
